360 photography for the project

360Riyadh delivered 360 photography and an interactive hotel virtual tour for Hilton Jabal Omar in Makkah, combining hospitality photography with a digital guest-discovery experience in Saudi Arabia.

Business objective

The objective was to move beyond a conventional visual tour and create a digital sales and discovery experience that helps guests, event planners and hotel teams understand the property before booking or visiting.

What we delivered

We rebuilt the Hilton experience around a modern interface that connects 360° scenes to guided hotel discovery, bilingual presentation, mobile-first controls and direct paths to relevant spaces instead of leaving users to browse a long sequence of panoramas without context.

Value & outcome

The result is a shareable digital asset for hotel marketing, rooms and amenities presentation, meetings and events sales, and pre-arrival discovery for guests travelling to Makkah.

Project context

From a conventional hotel tour to a digital experience that supports discovery and sales

Hilton Hotel & Convention Jabal Omar Makkah is located in the Jabal Omar district of Makkah, across from Masjid al-Haram. For a major hospitality property serving guests from Saudi Arabia and around the world, the website experience needs to communicate more than a collection of room photographs. Guests need spatial context: how the hotel feels, what facilities are available and which spaces are relevant to their stay.

That was the starting point for this 360Riyadh upgrade. The original virtual tour already provided valuable visual content, but we wanted to make it more useful for hotel sales and marketing. The new experience helps visitors discover the property with purpose and gives hotel teams a single interactive link they can use in the website, WhatsApp, email and commercial presentations.

The project reflects a broader opportunity for hospitality technology in Saudi Arabia: turning hotel 360 photography from a visual showcase into a guided digital sales experience for hotels in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, Jeddah and emerging tourism destinations across the Kingdom.

The challenge: one property serves several different user journeys

A guest comparing rooms has a different goal from an event planner evaluating meeting facilities. A visitor looking for dining or the Executive Lounge needs a different route through the content. The solution therefore could not be a set of generic buttons on top of the old tour; it needed a discovery layer that shortens the path between intent and the relevant hotel space.

Mobile experience was equally important. The 360 panorama must remain the hero instead of being covered by interface panels. We designed the experience so hotel information and viewer controls can be shown or hidden without losing the current scene or breaking touch navigation.

What we built for the Hilton AI Hotel Explorer

01

AI-guided discovery

A guided structure that takes visitors from their intent to relevant hotel spaces instead of browsing scenes without context.

02

Interactive 360° hotel tour

Connected hotel panoramas presented through a responsive krpano experience for mobile and desktop.

03

Rooms, dining & events context

The experience is structured around real hospitality use cases including stays, dining, meetings and events.

04

Mobile-first interface

A touch-friendly layout that keeps the panoramic view visible on smaller screens.

05

Custom viewer controls

A purpose-built control layer that matches the project identity rather than relying on a generic viewer skin.

06

Bilingual presentation

Arabic and English presentation for local, regional and international audiences.

How a hotel virtual tour supports hospitality sales and marketing in Saudi Arabia

A hotel virtual tour does not replace the booking engine. It adds spatial confidence before the booking decision. Guests can understand rooms, suites, amenities and the character of the property in a way that static images cannot fully communicate.

For meetings and events, an interactive 360 experience can support early-stage venue evaluation before a physical site inspection. Hilton Hotel & Convention Jabal Omar Makkah has multiple meeting and event spaces, making remote spatial presentation relevant to corporate groups, planners and event sales conversations.

For Saudi hotel marketing teams, one interactive experience can be reused across the website, email, WhatsApp, sales decks and digital campaigns. This turns 360 photography into a long-term digital asset rather than a one-time photography deliverable.

Hotel virtual tours and 360 photography in Makkah and Saudi Arabia

360Riyadh delivers hotel virtual tours in Saudi Arabia, combining 360 panorama capture, interactive tour development, custom interfaces and commercial use cases for hospitality properties. The same approach can be applied to hotels in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh and Jeddah, as well as resorts and new tourism developments.

When a hotel searches for 360 photography in Makkah, a hotel virtual tour company in Saudi Arabia, interactive hotel tours or immersive hospitality marketing, the value is not capture alone. A useful project combines photography with clear navigation, fast mobile performance, structured content and a shareable experience for guests and commercial teams.

AI Hotel Explorer adds another layer to the virtual tour. Instead of asking visitors to understand a large scene list, guided options and search can help them discover rooms, restaurants, lounges and event spaces according to their needs. The concept can also connect to booking or enquiry actions when property data and commercial flows are available.

Frequently asked questions

How is a 360° hotel virtual tour different from hotel photography?+

Photography presents selected frames. A 360° tour adds spatial context by letting guests look around and move between rooms and facilities in an interactive experience.

Does the hotel virtual tour work on mobile?+

Yes. This experience is designed for phones, tablets and desktop devices with touch navigation and responsive interface behaviour.

Can a virtual tour be used for meetings and event spaces?+

Yes. Event spaces can be organized by use case, capacity or venue type and connected to sales enquiries, making 360 tours useful for MICE and group sales teams.

Can AI-guided discovery be added to an existing hotel virtual tour?+

Yes, when the existing scenes and property information are available. A guided search and recommendation layer can often be built on top of existing 360 content.
